On 4th September 2021 I received the Westfriesland Award 2021. This prize is awarded annually by the West Frisian Historical Society to an institution or person who is committed to cultural preservation and historical awareness in the Dutch region of West Friesland. The ceremony took place in the church of Berkhout, a village near the town of Hoorn.
The award is a great appreciation and an encouragement to continue the research on the frigate Huis te Warmelo and its crew.
